Sexual Assault Awareness Month

UW-Platteville & Southwest Wisconsin Technical College Partnership

Throughout the month of April, Family Advocates will be honoring survivors and promoting prevention, education and awareness surrounding sexual assault.

This installation provides a tangible response to one of our culture’s most pervasive rape myths. Outfits featured have been recreated from the stories of student survivors/victims.

Our guest speaker, Sierra, is a survivor of child abuse/sexual assault as well as domestic violence.  Sierra will share her survivor story, her coping mechanisms and, finally, her path on a long-awaited healing journey.!
