The Royal Neighbors of America in Beetown are annual donors to our organization.  This spring, the group organized and put together hygiene bags for adults and children.

UW-Platteville Athletics

The UW-Platteville Athletics had a competition supply drive to see which team could collect the most donations for the shelter.  


UW-Platteville Football team did win the competition, but a big thank you to all teams involved in donating over $1,000 in supplies!

Community Evangelical Free Church - Youth Group

The Youth Group collected and organized cleaning supplies for families to take to their new homes once leaving the shelter!

Peace Lutheran Church

The Belmont Peace Lutheran Church gave an endowment payment of $500 to help with shelter operations and supplies needed for families.

First Congregational Church of Christ

Fall Auction (Pasty Dinner)

Each year First Congregational Church of Christ organizes a Pasty Dinner and donates a portion of the funds to a charity.  In 2020, due to the pandemic, the dinner turned into an online auction to raise funds.  

The Church chose Family Advocates as a donation recipient of over $950!

Platteville Optimist Club

Youth Summer Camp

The Optimist organization awarded Family Advocates with funding to help fund field trips and expenses for the Family Advocates Youth Camps in Grant, Iowa and Lafayette County.

Platteville Thrift Store

The Platteville Thrift Shop continues to support Family Advocates with monthly monetary donations and vouchers for families in need to obtain clothing from the Thrift Shop.


Photonic Cleaning Technologies

Throughout the pandemic, Photonic Cleaning has continually donated boxes of had sanitizer and cleaning products to help keep our staff and clients healthy and safe. Thank you for your generosity!

The Platteville Mission Sewing group came in when we needed help the most.  When the pandemic hit, and throughout the year, mission sewing has donated masks to keep our staff and clients safe.  Thank you!

Scentsy Consultants

These four ladies helped organize a community fundraiser to supply children with Scentsy Buddies as Christmas Gifts.  They donated over 150 Scentsy Buddies to our Platteville Giving Tree!  Scentsy Buddies are a multi-sensory experience.  Special needs children and adults often fall in love with Scentsy Buddies for just this reason.

Thanksgiving Dinner

Wisconsin Properties Realty enlisted help from the Platteville Main Street Association and together they provided Thanksgiving Dinner for the 20 people living at our shelter.

Pioneer Ford

Pioneer Ford donated $1,000 this month! $500 was to kick start the Platteville Community Giving Tree project to help families in the area who have been impacted by the pandemic who may need help this holiday season. The remainder of the donation helped to keep the shelter stocked with pandemic cleaning and protective supplies.

Dupaco Community Credit Union

The Hoefer Foundation awarded Family Advocates with grant funds in order to supply families with household items including beds.  

These families have been in shelter and often have nothing to begin their new chapter in their new homes.  Through the foundation's generosity, we can help fill their homes with comfort.

Teen Summit

The Optimist organization awarded Family Advocates with funding to help send young adults from Platteville schools to a Teen Summit from End Abuse Wisconsin.

Teens will explore ways to promote healthy relationships and prevent dating violence and sexual assault. The goal is to learn new strategies for successful prevention and education on teen issues.

Pioneer Lanes

In the month of October, Domestic Violence Awareness month, Pioneer Lanes donated a dollar from every breakfast buffet purchased.   Pioneer Lanes did this two Sundays in October promoting domestic violence awareness.

Theisen's Home Farm Auto

Theisen's Home Farm Auto continues their community support with the Theisen's family awarding non-profits over $300,000 in grants.

Theisen's awarded Family Advocates a grant to provide victims with emergency assistance for clothing at the hospital, new locks for their home, a cell phone, and other needs a victim or their family may have after a trauma.

Customer Donation Boxes

Q Casino named Family Advocates as the recipient of the Second Quarter donations from their customers.

These funds will help with insulating our building with spray foam to help make our organization more sustainable by lower our energy needs.

Providing Warmth

The Dubuque Racing Association (DRA) announced their grant awards on May 21, 2019.  The DRA awarded Family Advocates $3,000 to help with a portion of the cost to insulate our shelter keeping children and families safe while in our care.  Thank you for your support!

Clarence Gribble Trust

The Platteville Community Fund recognized Family Advocates with a grant award from the Clarence Gribble Trust in the amount of $800 in support of our Summer Camp for Youth Clients.

Alliant Energy Foundation Awards Grant.

Alliant Energy announces funding of our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault response.  This provides a change of clothing to victims whose clothing is used as evidence in a crime or to victims who need emergency shelter with us who need fresh clothing.Grant award $2,000!

Sedona Staffing holds non profit contest.

Sedona Staffing held a non profit contest to award the winner with $2,500.  Family Advocates received the most votes and won!

Farmhouse Annual Pancake Breakfast.

Every year Farmhouse Fraternity at UW-Platteville holds a Pancake Breakfast where a portion of the proceeds benefit the victims at Family Advocates.  Thank you Farmhouse!
